Double diploma Swiss Maturité + IBDP International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
The Double Diploma is undertaken in the last two years of secondary school and combines the traditional, knowledge rich, Swiss Federal Maturité with the progressive, inquiry-based learning of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
The Moser School is the only establishment in French-speaking Switzerland to offer this programme.
S2-S5 À L’ECOLE MOSER
Double diplôme
maturité suisse + IBDP
Students study the 13 subjects of the Maturité, with additional work in 6 of the subjects required for the IBDP diploma.
This process introduces students to the IB’s distinctive ‘Approaches to Learning’ that emphasise autonomy, reflection and problem solving. As with our Maturité programme, History is offered in French, German or English which can provide graduating students with a bilingual IB diploma. Underpinning everything is the IB’s emphasis on International Mindedness which helps reinforce Ecole Moser’s mission to promote ‘plurilingualism, cultural diversity and geographical mobility.
Two additional ‘core’ IBDP courses – TOK (Theory of Knowledge) and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) – complete the curriculum package. TOK – which is taught in English and French - explores claims about how we know what we know, encouraging critical thinking across the subject disciplines. CAS encourages students to engage in creative pursuits, physical activities, and community service and aims to develop well-rounded individuals, fostering personal growth, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility through experiential learning beyond the classroom.
