General conditions

ENROLMENT

Enrolments are valid for one full academic year (10 months), from September to June.
A place will be reserved upon receipt of the enrolment fee and the enrolment agreement, signed by all legal representatives (both parents, regardless of their marital status and the age of the child).

RENEWAL AND CANCELLATION OF ENROLMENT

Enrolment is renewed automatically, year after year, throughout schooling (i.e. from Primary to the end of Secondary II), except in the case of cancellation sent by recorded letter to Ecole Moser SA by 15th February or if the student fails the year. The cancellation must be received by Ecole Moser SA before 15th February.

  • In the case of cancellation after 15th February, the following late cancellation penalties are payable to Ecole Moser SA:
  • In the case of cancellation received by Ecole Moser SA between 15th February and 1st June for the following academic year, a penalty equivalent to 3 months of tuition fees is due.
  • In the case of cancellation received by Ecole Moser SA after 1st June for the following academic year, a penalty equivalent to one semester of tuition fees is due.

Moreover, in the case of cancellation of the first enrolment, the first semester of tuition fees will be due. Furthermore, if the student leaves or is expelled during the school year, the interrupted semester is due in full (winter semester: September to January/spring semester: February to June).

TUITION FEES

The legal representatives are jointly and severally liable for the payment of their child’s tuition fees (including the penalties for late cancellation mentioned in article 2) throughout the entirety of their child’s education.
When the child reaches legal age, the parents remain jointly and severally liable for the payment of tuition fees (including the penalties for late cancellation mentioned in article 2). Tuition fees are due every semester and by advance payment. For legal representatives who would like to arrange a different mode of payment, i.e. monthly payment, a 2% surcharge will be applied. Ecole Moser SA issues a 20% discount for the third child and a 50% discount for the fourth child (as long as all children are still duly enrolled at Ecole Moser SA).

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES/TRIPS AND OUTINGS

Internal and external activities are organised by the school during the academic year. The fees for these activities are announced in due course, and the fee for trips is due at least 30 days before departure. Participation in these activities is, in the majority of cases, compulsory for students.
Exemptions may be granted by the school on a case-by-case basis, upon request and with due justification. An exemption or the non-participation of a student in one of these activities for any other reason, regardless of whether it is attributable to the student, does not give rise to a reduction or a total or partial refund of the activity.
However, a reduction in the price may be granted if we are notified that the student will not participate in the trip at least one month before departure and if the school management agrees to grant the student an exemption. The fees will not be reimbursed in the case of cancellation after this period. Moreover, we advise parents to take out cancellation insurance to cover the student.

ADULT STUDENTS

In accordance with its mandate, Ecole Moser SA will continue to ensure collaboration with the legal representatives until the end of each student’s schooling, even after the student reaches legal age.
Ecole Moser SA will undertake to resolve all situations directly with the student involved. If it is necessary to contact the legal representatives, the adult student will be informed beforehand.

The academic results are shared with the legal representatives until the end of the student’s studies.

APPLICABLE LAW AND PLACE OF JURISDICTION

The enrolment agreement is subject to Swiss law.
All disputes between the legal representatives, the student and Ecole Moser SA will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of the Canton of Geneva, with the right of appeal to the Federal Court being reserved.
